Beginner Piano Book 1

Piano Book 1 introduces students to essential musical concepts through engaging and accessible exercises.

Theory – Finger numbers, notes on the piano, simple transposition, staccato, and legato.

Rhythm – Crotchets, minims, semibreves, and their corresponding rests in 3/4 and 4/4 time. Includes an introduction to playing with a metronome.

Melody – Simple black-note melodies, pieces in C major and A minor spanning from G below middle C to G above.

Music Skills – Clapping, improvising, composition, and singing to develop well-rounded musicianship.

The book is designed to be used with a piano tutor.
